Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mashed bananas to the butter mixture and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in any optional ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.

For thicker, chewier cookies, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
