- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup mashed bananas or applesauce
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, etc.)
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (cranberries, dates, etc.)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, etc.)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if you are baking.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, mashed fruit, honey, nut butter, nuts, dried fruit, vanilla, and cinnamon until well mixed.
- If baking, press the mixture into a greased baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and firm.
- If no-bake, press the mixture into a dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Cut into bars and store appropriately.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding spices like nutmeg or variations of dried fruits and nuts based on your preference.
