Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • Vinegar for slaw
  • Spicy mayo (for drizzling)
  • Sesame ginger dressing (for drizzling)
  • Cilantro or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and hoisin or brown sugar. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Assemble the wonton wrappers by forming them in a U-shape and filling with the marinated chicken mixture.
  4. Fry each wonton shell until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix shredded cabbage and carrots with vinegar to create the slaw.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing chicken filling in the fried wonton shell and topping with slaw, spicy mayo, and sesame ginger dressing.
  7. Garnish with cilantro or green onions before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can bake the wonton tacos by brushing them with oil and placing them in a baking dish. Re-crisp any pre-fried wonton shells in the oven or air fryer before serving.
