Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and hoisin or brown sugar. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Assemble the wonton wrappers by forming them in a U-shape and filling with the marinated chicken mixture.
- Fry each wonton shell until golden brown and crispy.
- In a separate bowl, mix shredded cabbage and carrots with vinegar to create the slaw.
- Assemble the tacos by placing chicken filling in the fried wonton shell and topping with slaw, spicy mayo, and sesame ginger dressing.
- Garnish with cilantro or green onions before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can bake the wonton tacos by brushing them with oil and placing them in a baking dish. Re-crisp any pre-fried wonton shells in the oven or air fryer before serving.
