Description

A massive, cheesy, and comforting deep-dish pizza pie that will leave everyone asking for more.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Your choice of sausage, pepperoni, or roasted veggies
  • 2 cups chunky tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Mix the dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  2. Grease a deep-dish pan and press the dough into the bottom and up the sides.
  3. Layer mozzarella cheese on the bottom.
  4. Add sausage or pepperoni, or roasted veggies.
  5. Pour chunky tomato sauce over the fillings.
  6. Sprinkle with parmesan, oregano, and garlic powder.
  7. Bake at 425°F for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Use low-moisture mozzarella for the best results. Let the dough rest for improved texture.
