Description

Delicious and healthy homemade turkey sausage patties that are easy to prepare and packed with flavor, perfect for breakfast or any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (lean)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or light brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together using your hands until well combined.
  2. Form small balls of the mixture (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten them to patties, about half an inch thick.
  3. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
  4. Cook the patties in batches, making sure not to overcrowd, until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 3 minutes per side.
  5. Let the patties rest on a paper towel for a minute before serving.

Notes

These patties can also be baked at 375°F for about 18 minutes, flipping halfway. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for up to two months.
