- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
- Flaky sea salt (for topping)
- Fresh herbs (like rosemary, optional)
- Other toppings (like garlic, olives, or tomatoes, optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Mix in flour, salt, and olive oil until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 45-60 minutes.
- Drizzle olive oil on a baking pan and spread the dough out, poking dimples in the surface.
- Let the dough rise again briefly, then sprinkle with flaky salt and additional olive oil.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F until golden and crisp at the edges, about 20-25 minutes.
