Description

A simple yet delicious Margherita pizza made with fresh ingredients and a crispy crust.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil; knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  6. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a border for crust.
  7. Top with mozzarella slices and basil leaves.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

For a crispier crust, preheat your pizza stone in the oven before baking.
