Description

A warm and comforting bread pudding infused with the legendary flavors of peanut butter, banana, and bacon, inspired by Elvis Presley.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 56 cups stale bread, cut into cubes
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a medium baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, mashed bananas, peanut butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Fold in the bread cubes until everything is coated.
  5. Add the bacon bits and mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and flatten the top slightly.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm from the oven, topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with maple syrup or honey.
