Description

Decadent brownies made healthier with Greek yogurt, perfect for satisfying chocolate cravings without the guilt.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt)
  • 2 large eggs (or flaxseed ‘eggs’ for vegan)
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar or maple syrup
  • Optional: handful of dark chocolate chips or crushed walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, blend Greek yogurt, eggs, and sweetener until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring until just combined (lumpy is fine).
  5. Pour into a lined baking pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, checking at 20 minutes for doneness.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

For vegan, substitute eggs with flaxseed ‘eggs’ and use plant-based yogurt. For gluten-free, use a 1-to-1 baking flour mix.
