Description

A classic, silky, and creamy homemade banana pudding that brings back fond memories and comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 45 ripe bananas
  • 3 cups cold whole milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

Instructions

  1. In a big mixing bowl, mix the cold milk, pudding mix, and sweetened condensed milk together until smooth.
  2. Let it set in the fridge for about 5 minutes.
  3. Slice the bananas, not too thin.
  4. In a baking dish, lay down a layer of vanilla wafers.
  5. Put a layer of banana slices over the cookies.
  6. Fold half the whipped topping into the pudding mix gently.
  7. Blob half of the pudding over the bananas and cookies.
  8. Repeat with another layer of cookies, bananas, and the rest of the pudding.
  9. Top with the leftover whipped topping and swirl it pretty with a spatula.
  10. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

For best results, let it chill overnight. Drizzle caramel over the top for an extra special touch.
