Description

Deliciously healthy dog treats made with pumpkin and peanut butter that your furry friend will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pure pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 egg (or flax egg for egg-free option)
  • 1/4 cup water (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree and peanut butter until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the flour, combining until a dough forms.
  5. If the dough is too dry, add water a tablespoon at a time.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.
  7. Place the treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the treats are firm and lightly browned.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave the treats inside as it cools to enhance crunchiness.
  10. Once cooled, store in an airtight container or freeze for longer freshness.

Notes

Always use xylitol-free peanut butter. You can customize the flour and add calming herbs for anxious dogs.
